Sculptra® is an injectable collagen biostimulator made with biocompatible poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) microparticles. Unlike hyaluronic acid filler, which provides immediate correction and volume, Sculptra works gradually by stimulating your body’s own collagen production—addressing one of the underlying changes we experience with aging: collagen loss. Think of Sculptra as a collagen journey, not a one-and-done treatment. The goal is to build a stronger collagen foundation from within, improving skin quality, firmness, wrinkles, and overall facial support over time. For optimal results, I typically recommend 2 vials per treatment session, with a series of 2–3 sessions spaced approximately 6 weeks apart. However, treatment is completely customizable—even one vial can begin stimulating collagen and make a meaningful difference. A helpful long-term goal is approximately one vial per decade of life, followed by yearly maintenance to continue supporting collagen production. Sculptra is a slow build—and that’s part of what makes the results so natural. Collagen production continues for months after treatment, with results typically peaking around 5 months and lasting up to 2 years after your final injections. The result is healthier, firmer, more resilient skin with gradual, natural-looking improvement in overall facial support.
